About the Team

The team are responsible to our customers and account managers for providing Networking and Security solutions. Our key focus is to keep abreast of what’s happening in the IT Security market to understand how this may impact our customers.

Your Role

Your role will evolve from initially a sole focus of generating awareness with prospects to create new opportunities into concentrating on supporting a core set of customers to deliver on business objectives via networking and security orientated projects. There is a defined progression path for Network and Security Sales Specialists to support your development throughout that process, focusing on the following responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing

• Business Development
• Arrange and lead meetings with customers
• Take ownership for commercial and technical engagement
• Explore technical requirements and present the benefits of a solutions to business objectives
• Apply Softcat’s framework to lead with a consultative approach
• Demonstrate an applied understanding of Softcat’s services, cloud, and vendor portfolio
• Build an internal network with technical and sales teams and an external network with partners
• Be an internal Product Champion leading sales activity for a chosen partner
• Maintain accurate pipeline and apply business analysis using tools available
• Embrace a commission centric role, judged by performance against target
• Develop C-Level engagement confidence and capability
• Take advantage of mentoring and management progression opportunities if of interest

What we need from you

• Previous sales or customer facing experience would be an advantage but not essential
• Interested to hear from Graduates looking for a role in sales
• Passionate, fun and have the entrepreneurial flare to build your own client base from scratch
• Self Starter, quick learner and highly organised
• Keen to learn about new and emerging technologies
• Clear and persuasive communicator
• Ability to build rapport with potential new clients as well as strong relationships internally
