The Corporate Treasury Industrial Placement Program is aimed at students with a year in industry as a compulsory or optional element of their degree program. The Program runs annually, beginning in June. The curriculum includes an orientation of the Firm, senior management speaker seminars,  social and networking events to build Industrial Placements' professional networks.

Training begins with a Firmwide induction along with peers from other divisions. This is followed by four days of classroom-based product and technical training. Industrial Placement students also receive considerable on-the-job training, a series of “Lunch & Learns,” networking events and work-shadowing opportunities.


  • Produce weekly and monthly reports for European ALCO, European Risk Committee and FCA Regulatory meetings.
  • Collate the Contingency Funding Plan (CFP) for major UK Group entities.
  • Support the capital team in FCA stress testing.
  • Analyse the capital and liquidity implications of new Bank & Broker dealer entities.
  • Provide backup analytical support to both the Treasury Capital Markets and Global Treasury Coverage teams.

Qualifications / Skills / Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Track record of academic excellence.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize a variety of data to produce well-designed and meaningful summaries and reports.
  • Adept at solving problems and developing efficient processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
