UKI Controllership Intern is a key role within the GEHC Northern Europe Controllership team, reporting to the UKI Operations Controller. Part of a team of 6 based in the UK and a wider team of 20 across Northern Europe. The Controllership team is responsible for 70+ entities covering Manufacturing , Distribution and sales activities for GE Healthcare.

Essential Responsibilities

The opportunities available will cover all areas of finance from financial planning and analysis to order execution. You could be preparing key reports, analysing data or supporting preparation of quarter end accounts.

You will be guided by structured goals and objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects. We will support you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE experience. Your manager will offer coaching and mentoring, and the Company will provide the opportunity to connect with other interns across the UK.

  • Support the UKI Controller with forecasting controllership spend on a quarterly basis, including tracking actual spend v budget, and arranging posting corrections
  • Monitor shared cost allocations made by the COE team in Budapest, ensure timely and accurate handling, and investigate issues raised by the business teams
  • Track dashboards and reporting tools through the close to ensure deadline adherence
  • Support the team with balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations within agreed deadlines and provide completeness monitoring
  • Assist the Supply Chain Controller with fixed asset physical verification cycles
  • Attend various stock takes and carry out count audits to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with scheduled and ad hoc reporting and planning support for Corporate/Business/VAT/compliance requirements
  • Participate in annual statutory and internal audits
  • Support the controllership team with simplification projects across UK and Ireland


  • Currently studying towards a Finance related degree –penultimate or final year (predicted
    2:1 or above)
