BioScience Communications is the specialist global medical communications division of Edelman, founded in 1995, with its main international hubs in London and New York. It is a full service global medical education agency providing clients with high-level strategic and scientific counsel and communications. The BioScience team works across the spectrum of drug development from prelaunch products, all the way through to post launch and phase IV products.

The Account Executive will support account team(s) in day-to-day work-related to medical education programmes.

What you will do:

• Manage/coordinate all aspects of a small account, project or event in addition to contributing to other larger accounts
• Day to day accountability for handling client needs one-on-one
• Problem solving accountability. This includes identifying problems that could damage client relationships or affect the outcome of projects and resolving where possible, ensuring the account lead is alerted of the problem, ongoing status and once it has been resolved.
• Keep the team/account lead informed of all client issues
• Develop clear, crisp, strategic communications for, and on behalf of, the client.
• Learn and embrace new IT systems for managing compliance and approval processes on behalf of clients
• Responsibility for client budget issues
• Identify and obtain resources to complete projects on time and on budget.
• Participate in brainstorms (effective articulation of ideas, claiming share of voice).
• Think broadly, generate ideas and be thoughtful about client programme beyond particular task.

What you need to have:

• A life sciences degree is preferable but not essential
• Interest and understanding (experience if possible) in medical education, marketing or healthcare arenas
• Demonstrated experience of taking the initiative and ownership of work, comfortable and excited to work within a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills and solid interpersonal skills that enable positive influencing of others
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• High level organisation skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
