The Challenge

The 12 month internship in the Aero Gas Turbine (AGT) Engineering team will give you the opportunity to work, first hand, on cutting-edge engineering technologies, through experiencing a range of different teams and roles. From front-line customer technical support to gas turbine development & improvement programmes, you will have the opportunity to bring your skills and energy to shape our future, together.

Building on a natural engineering inquisitiveness and desire for continuous improvement, be given the opportunity to take ownership of the investigation of customer issues, to provide recommendations and to develop some of the most advanced gas turbine technologies in operation.

  • Investigate customer issues and provide suitable recommendations.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their operations and provide the best support possible.
  • Be part of a diverse and forward-thinking team, developing new solutions to existing challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for further improvement, and be empowered to act on them.
  • Train in our outstanding classroom and workshop facilities, developing theoretical and practical knowledge of our products.
  • Visit customer sites to see our products operating, first hand.
  • Work with all business functions to provide the best overall solution to the customer and the business.
  • Get involved with our initiatives to build awareness of STEM with our academic partners.
  • Forge meaningful relationships with the wider Siemens Entry Level Talent community.


What we're looking for 

  • Studying towards or have completed a degree in a data analytical, engineering or relevant scientific discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident and a clear communicator.
  • Analytical with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent team player whilst maintaining an independent perspective.
  • Results-driven, energetic, and motivated candidate who is happy working independently or as part of a wider team.


What else you need to know

The benefits package for this role includes a salary of £17,500 pro rata. We know that not everyone’s lifestyle is the same, so we operate a flexible benefits scheme where you can tailor your benefits package to suit you.
